The GIA in Australia and worldwide is a not-for-profit organisation. This institution aims at the dissemination of Gnosis according to the teaching and guidance of its founders the V.M. Samael Aun Weor and V.M. Litelantes, previously directed by Mr. Osiris Gomez Garro, the son of the Venerable Masters, and now by his wife Mrs. Inmaculada Ugartemendia de Gomez.

Gnosis.
Over the last two centuries the world of thought and spirituality has rediscovered Gnosis as a tradition of knowledge immersed in the origins of our civilisation.
The works of Helena Blavatsky, the investigations of Carl Jung, the discovery of the Nag Hammadi Library and the recent publication of the Gnostic Gospel of Judas, just to mention a few examples, testify to the increasing interest in Gnosis and in the Gnostic studies in our society.
Samael Aun Weor, a contemporary Gnostic Master, presents his vision, to understand the Gnostic tradition of the past, to enlighten us about our present situation and to present a new horizon for the future.
Philosophy.
The Gnostic Institute of Anthropology presents the Gnostic philosophy as it was once practised by the primitive Gnostics in the catacombs of Rome. It was unveiled by Samael Aun Weor who not only taught this knowledge but also lived it, practised it and experienced it. So it is not just a philosophy compiled by a philosopher after years of research, rather it is a way of life. Only through direct knowledge can we experience such a philosophy. Gnosis, then, is a system which teaches the techniques and exercises which leads us along the path of self-realization, to that perfect harmonious development of ourselves as true men and women. Let us rebel against our own defects which keep us bound in chains of misery! Enough of books, theories, dogmas! The time has come for us to see, touch, hear, smell and taste the great realities of the suprasensible worlds! HOMO GNOSCE TE IPSUM - MAN KNOW THYSELF.

The Gnostic Institute is a not-for-profit organisation whose purpose is the dissemination of the Gnostic Anthropology as taught by our founders. We do not pursue political or economic ends. We do not profess to any one religion or denomination. We only pursue the dissemination of authentic methods by which each man and woman can develop his or her highest potential. We speak only on a practical level and provide methods by which everything can be tested and proven. We do not deal with false theories or antiquated dogmas which are responsible for keeping the consciousness in a state of sleep. Ignorance is our greatest enemy. Man not only ignores but, what is even more unfortunate, ignores that he ignores! Therefore, it is better to KNOW than to BELIEVE. It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.
